We start this issue with the latest in supply chain news. First, we consider some key implementation issues for the Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act (UFLPA), which took effect for US imports on 21 June and affects all goods mined, produced, or manufactured wholly or in part in Xinjiang, China, or by entities identified on the UFLPA Entity List. Next, we highlight the key requirements of the new Norwegian Transparency Act on social sustainability that went into effect on 1 July and obligates larger enterprises to comply with fundamental human rights and decent working conditions for employees throughout their supply chain.
