The Kenya Revenue Authority has today issued a Public Notice extending the deadline to implementthe new Electronic Tax Registers (“ETR”) to 30 September 2022 following a stakeholder engagementheld on 1 August 2022 with the Commissioner General affording taxpayers more time to adhere to the Regulations.
Nevertheless, all VAT registered taxpayers must engage with ETR suppliers as soon as possible, as in our experience implementing the new ETR regulations can be time consuming or pose some challenges including integration with the existing ERP systems and data transmission
