Following up on the letter that HMRC sent out to known exporters and importers in June and previous postings by Centurion, we want to remind all our clients that the CHIEF system used by HMRC for declarations is winding down and instead all declarations will be processed using the Customs Declaration Service (CDS). If you make your own declarations or use an agent, in order to avoid problems, please ensure that you are on track to use the CDS system for all imports after 30 September 2022.
