The disputes process is an uncertain time for any taxpayer that finds themselves embroiled in a tax dispute, often having to deal with concepts, terms, and processes that most will not have encountered previously. The New Zealand Inland Revenue has published an 83-page draft Standard Practice Statement, ED0240 – Disputes Process (the SPS) for public consultation.
