A fast-growing queue of European countries are emerging to cut their already reduced VAT rates on domestic energy, petrol and foods. Eurozone headline inflation hit 8.6% in June, up from 8.1% in May. Inflation is being driven by soaring food and energy, with core inflation at 3.7% (May 3.8%)
