The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (“KSA”) is increasingly using customs duties as a policy means to encourage setting up manufacturing and production in KSA.
Any production originating outside KSA will be subject to higher duty rates now, after KSA had already amended its origin rules in 2021 and increased duties on a number of products in 2020.
