Following a review procedure , the Minister of Finance annulled the decision to waive VAT on the supply of electricity and gas in November and December 2021. The decision was found to be illegal for violation of the Tax Code and EU law. Last year’s tax waiver cost public budgets about CZK 5.4 billion.
