According to recent reports, the government of Zimbabwe agreed in May 2022 to further suspend the implementation of the 5% export tax on un-beneficiated (un-processed) platinum. The export tax was originally to be implemented in 2015 at a rate of 15% but was subsequently reduced to 5% and suspended multiple times, with the latest suspension to 2022.
