The government is still studying whether to reintroduce the goods and services tax (GST) and has not made any decision yet, Prime Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob said. “Many jumped the gun when I said we will not dismiss the possibility, but I also said we will conduct a study because the government suffered losses to its revenue collection when we switched from GST to SST,” he told reporters after officiating the World Environment Day event at Taman Tugu here this morning.
