The Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation spoke out against reducing VAT from 20 to 10% on goods for the sports and recreation industry imported into the country from friendly states. This is stated in a letter that the department sent in response to the corresponding proposal of the head of the National Fitness Community Elena Silina . A copy of the document is also addressed to the government apparatus. The tax cut will create a precedent for organizations in other industries to raise similar questions, the ministry said.
