Egypt Ministry of Finance announced that after the completion of the e-Invoice implementation, details about e-Receipt (B2C) will be shared at the beginning of April without a break. The most important points from the shared details are as follows;
The trial period started on April 15 and as of July 1 first phase of the obligation will start, the scope will be expanded in stages. The process is expected to be similar to the B2B e-Invoice timeline. The new system, which will initially cover large taxpayers, is expected to be completed in 2024, covering medium and small-sized companies over time. Another important detail is that the e-receipt has to have a QR code. This code will allow the authorities to officially verify the receipt. In addition to the QR code, the digital signature and UUID will be the details that should be included in the e-Receipt.
