The EU directive, which has been in force since April 6, already allows individual member states to introduce a zero VAT rate on books. There is a chance that such a change will also be introduced in Poland. The Ministry of Finance is analyzing the problem. It is an open question, however, whether the tax reduction will actually affect the prices of books.
