On May 12, 2022, the Sejm passed an amendment to the VAT act exempting from this tax the import of goods by the armed forces of EU countries. It is about adjusting Polish law to EU regulations providing for special solutions and preferences in the field of VAT with regard to defense activities implemented under the EU common security and defense policy.
