On 10 May 2022, Ireland’s Department of Finance announced that the reduced VAT rate of 9% for the hospitality and tourism sectors is being extended until 28 February 2023. The application of the reduced rate, which was implemented in response to COVID-19, was previously scheduled to expire on 1 September 2022.
