Due to the European VAT rate directive of 6 April 2022, the Netherlands has more options to adjust the VAT rates. For the time being, the Netherlands has only made use of the option of applying the 0% rate to the supplies and installation of solar panels on or in the immediate vicinity of homes. It is not yet clear when the bill will be introduced.
