The Spring Statement by the Chancellor did contain welcome news on wider VAT reliefs for the supply and installation of energy saving materials in the residential setting. Unfortunately, it hasn’t addressed one of the wider VAT technical issues that we at Centurion have had with HMRC in terms of being able to apportion the VAT liability of mixed supply projects that include energy saving works and we are continuing to raise this point with HM Treasury.
