From 31 March 2022, the new ‘Authorising Your Agent – Form 64-8’ form will need to be used in order for clients to grant companies/agents authorisation to deal directly with the HMRC on their behalf. This form can be downloaded after 31 March 2022 on the Gov.uk Website – Authorising a Tax Agent.
Form 64-8 has been updated to give clients a better experience, to improve data protection and allows clients to choose the tax regime (such as Making Tax Digital) they want companies/agents to have access to.
