Wealthy Dutch people mainly benefit from the tax cuts on fuel and energy. About a third of the 2.1 billion goes to that group. This is apparent from the calculations of research platform Investico, which carried out the research on behalf of Trouw and de Groene Amsterdammer. The tax cut is also intended for middle-income earners. That group receives only 418 million, which amounts to a fifth of the total. The lowest incomes account for a tenth of the allocated budget.
