The government announced On March 23. 2022 that it has decided to eliminate, by the end of this year, the import tax on coffee, margarine, cheese, macaroni, soy oil and sugar. The import tax on ethanol, which is mixed with gasoline and also sold separately, was also zeroed. The objective is to help reduce inflation, whose accumulated index in 12 months exceeds 10%.
