North Macedonia’s Revenue Office has issued a release announcing amendments to the VAT law approved on 11 March 2022 that reduce the VAT rate on certain products. This includes a reduction in the VAT rate to 0% for basic food products, including bread, sugar, flour, sunflower oil, milk, fresh meat, rice, and eggs. Further details published by the Revenue Office clarify that the reduction is effective from 17 March to 31 May 2022.
