Guarantee Checking Service
Following feedback from traders using transit to move goods HMRC is launching a new GOV.UK digital service on 21 February 2022. It will give traders the ability to check their available guarantee balance.
To access the service, you will need to arrange for government gateway access, a relevant Economic Operators Registration and Identification (EORI) number, your Guarantee reference number and personal identification number (PIN) to check your guarantee balance on GOV.UK.

NCTS service availability page
Following feedback from traders using the NCTS to move goods, from 28 February 2022, HMRC is launching a new NCTS service availability page on GOV.UK. This page gives both internal and external parties a real-time view of both NCTS XI and NCTS GB service.
The new automated NCTS service availability pages replace the existing static page on GOV.UK and will show business continuity messages if the NCTS service goes offline due to an unplanned outage. It will help reduce the need for traders to make inbound contact to NCTS helpdesk.
