Cooperation of the economy with FURS in the field of customs, excise and environmental duties
In mid-February, the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) published news of the termination of transactions using documentary collection and (explicit) introduction of documentary letters of credit as a tool to carry out all import procedures, with effect from from 1 March 2022. The CBE emphasizes that this is a complementary measure to the ACI (Advance Cargo Information) system, designed to regulate all import procedures.
