- From January 1, 2022, banks, investment fund companies (TFI) or other entities may benefit from taxation of the financial services they provide.
- Choosing this option will allow them to deduct VAT on the purchased goods and services.
- This solution is especially beneficial for those institutions that are just entering the Polish market and planning to expand their structures here.
- The use of options is voluntary and does not affect the price of services offered to consumers and entrepreneurs.
Financial services are generally VAT exempt. However, the Polish Order introduced the possibility of their voluntary taxation. The tax option also exists in 8 other European countries, including in Germany, which, like Poland, only allows taxation of financial services provided to business, but not to individual clients.
