On 14 February 2022, Dubai Customs has published a new Policy (i.e., Customs policy no. 53/2022) on Customs codes.
This Policy comes into force from the date of its issuance and supersedes any conflicting provisions. Earlier, Customs policy no. 28/2009 dated 22 October 2009 detailed the Client registration-related matters.
The Policy, among other things, lays down the registration procedure for obtaining Customs code and sets out duties and obligations of the customs client (i.e., customs code holder).
