From 1 February 2022, VAT on fuel will drop from 23 percent to 8%. For food and fertilizers to 0%, and for electricity and heat to 5%. These proposals were adopted by the Council of Ministers, preparing the second anti-inflationary shield announced by Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki. The draft has already been submitted to the Sejm.
