The United Kingdom (UK) is introducing a new Plastic Packaging Tax (PPT) with effect from 1 April 2022. The UK tax administration, Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs (HMRC) has issued updated guidance and regulations relating to the scope and operation of the new tax.
