CBIT and Customs Department together launched e-Storage and Computerized Handling of Indirect Tax documents (e-SANCHIT). The motive behind the introduction of eSANCHIT was to promote paperless transactions and to upload documents to ease the trading process across borders. CBIC has provided this facility to exporters and importers and PGS (Participating Government Agencies).
