A poll by the Tax Authorities shows that almost a quarter of starting entrepreneurs and self-employed people do not properly record the start-up costs of their company in their VAT returns. After all, entrepreneurs can also reclaim VAT on business costs they incurred before registering with the Chamber of Commerce (KVK).
