The Mexican tax authority (SAT) has informed the Authorized Certification Providers (PAC) and main information technology parties in Mexico that they plan to introduce major changes to the electronic invoicing systems. These changes will affect the CFDI issuance and reception flows and will be adopted on January 1 2022 voluntarily.
EDICOM as a PAC in Mexico has been informed ahead of time of the mandatory structural and tax obligations that will be implemented soon.
One of the greatest changes will be the launch of a new Digital Tax Voucher (CFDI). The new CFDI 4.0 will impact all the electronic invoice issuance and reception processes as well as the associated compliments like the e-waybill (Carta Porte) or the e-payroll documents.
