The government will introduce a VAT reduction on natural gas to 8 percent. from 23 percent, and from January it will also reduce VAT on electricity – Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said on November 25. In addition, the amount of excise duty will be reduced to the minimum level allowed in the EU, and from January 1, 2022 to May 31, 2022, for five months, fuels will be exempt from retail sales tax.
