In June this year, the European Court of Justice made a ruling (C-931/19 Titanium) on VAT requirements for non-resident landlords in what has become known as the “Titanium” case. The ECJ’s decision has set a precedent that will have a direct effect on landlords in similar situations in Germany and across the EU.
