Ministry of Finance discusses the procedure for using and operating the e-Invoice electronic invoicing system

The Ministry of Finance has put into public debate a project that provides the procedure for using and operating the national system on electronic invoicing RO e-Invoice, as well as receiving and downloading the electronic invoice by the recipients of the electronic invoice issued in the B2G relationship in the national invoice system electronics. This order is part of the series of normative acts prepared by the authorities for the introduction of the e-Invoice system.

The government established, at the beginning of October, the implementation of a system regarding the invoices issued, sent and received in an electronic format, which would allow their electronic and automatic processing.

The draft order put up for debate by the Ministry of Finance establishes the following:

• preparation and transmission of the electronic invoice;
• electronic invoice verification;
• receiving and downloading the electronic invoice by the recipients of the electronic invoices issued in the B2B relationship;
• receiving and downloading the electronic invoice by the recipients of the electronic invoices issued in the B2G relationship;
• electronic invoice correction; notification of the issuer and the recipient regarding the electronic invoice;
• availability for downloading the electronic invoice in the RO e-Invoice system.
