The UK is seeking a free trade agreement with New Zealand. Negotiations launched on 17 June 2020.
On 20 October 2021, the UK and New Zealand reached agreement in principle on a free trade agreement. The main elements of the trade agreement between the UK and New Zealand have now been agreed.
The necessary steps are now being taken to prepare the trade agreement for signature.
