Introduction of carbon pricing that would be intended to offer incentives
An economic plan (the 12th Malaysia Plan 2021-2025) includes measures to achieve net-zero carbon emission as early as 2050.
Part of the plan involves the introduction of carbon pricing that would be intended to offer incentives for clean energy adoption, to encourage better energy efficiency, and ultimately to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.
