The recommendations of India’s goods and services tax (GST) council, at its 45th meeting held on 17 September 2021, include changes to the GST rates for some goods and services, the issuance of clarifications on certain contentious issues, and changes to compliance related requirements. Notifications and circulars giving effect to the recommendations were issued on 30 September and 20 September 2021, respectively.
