Due to the corona situation, the low VAT rate was reduced from 12% to 6% on 1 April 2020. The reason for the reduction was the special challenges some industries had in connection with the government’s corona measures.
Now that the situation is about to normalize, the VAT rate must also return to normal. This means that the low rate of 6% will be adjusted upwards to 12% from 1 October.
