The government has tasked a group of ministers (GoM) led by Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj S. Bommai to propose a rationalization of tax rates and considering the merger of different tax slabs within two months and the other one was eight-member GoM under Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar for “GST system reforms”.
