- The Podkarpacie National Revenue Administration (KAS) interrupted the practice in which 7 entities swindled, incl. VAT tax.
- Dishonest companies used the so-called blank invoices.
- They exposed the State Treasury to a loss of over PLN 4.5 million.
- Over PLN 6 million was recovered with interest.
Employees of the Podkarpackie KAS discovered that 7 business entities of various industries from the province Podkarpackie Province used false invoices. In 2015-2020, entities used approx. 5.7 thousand. empty invoices for over PLN 16 million gross.
The companies used false documents from a person from the fuel industry. The invoices appeared to be identical to the original documents, but the auditors found a number of errors, omissions and discrepancies. Including the invoices were not certified with copies by the seller who did not confirm their authenticity. Documents were also not printed with the use of a cash register, but a different system.
The entities decreased their VAT and income tax liabilities by PLN 4.5 million.
The owners of the companies settled overdue liabilities together with late payment interest in the amount of over PLN 6 million. Further steps are underway in this matter.
