Update: major changes for imports of food products from EU to UK!
If you import food or food products into the Great Britain from an EU Member State or the Northern Ireland then changes may apply to you from 1 October 2021 or 1 January 2022.
New import rules apply to agricultural products and foodstuffs including various processed foods and ‘composite products’.
The grace period on imports from the EU ends on 1 October 2021 or 1 January 2022 and businesses importing food products have to complete extra paperwork and are subject to pre-notification requirements.
Physical checks are delayed until March 2022.
