New rules for calculating the financial guarantee when a fiscal representative is appointed in Belgium for VAT purposes will apply as from 1 October 2021. The required financial guarantee, which must always be provided, will be set at 10% of the annual VAT balance due, subject to a minimum amount of EUR 7,500 and a maximum amount of EUR 1 million.
