On June 25th amendments to the Kassensichverordnung were approved allowing the receipt to be shortened by using of QR Code. In that way costs and resources can be saved.
Section 6 sentence 2, previously stating that the information on a receipt must be legible for anyone without machine support is now worded as follows:
The information according to sentence 1 must be:
- Readable for everyone without machine support or
- Readable from a QR code.
The QR code must correspond to the digital interface of the financial administration (DSFinV).
