Romania published Law no. 196 of 12 July 2021 in the Official Gazette on 13 July, which includes various measures concerning the supply of heating services and energy efficiency. With respect to taxation, the law extends the scope of the 5% reduced VAT rate to includes supplies of heating services for households, which will apply from 13 January 2022.
