The Business Payments Coalition and the US Federal Reserve have announced the launch of a pilot project to create a standardized electronic invoicing system for B2B transactions in the United States. This approach aims not only to establish a common standardized electronic invoice model, but also to create an electronic document exchange network, like the PEPPOL system developed in Europe.
