The reduction of the standard VAT rate to 16% (from 18%) in the Portuguese autonomous region of Azores as from 1 July 2021 was confirmed through an order (No. 194/2021-XXII) from Portugal’s Secretary of State for Tax Affairs (SEAF) and a circular letter (No. 30237) dated 22 June 2021 from the Portuguese tax authorities.
