As part of IRAS’ continuous effort to simplify taxpayers’ tax filing process, taxpayers can now submit their GST returns and/or transaction listings directly from their accounting/tax software to IRAS via Application Programming Interface (“API”). This eliminates the need for users to log into myTax Portal to input their tax figures manually, in turn reducing transposition errors and improving the accuracy of the returns submitted to IRAS.
From 20 Oct 2020, in addition to the GST F5, we have enhanced and added new APIs to enable taxpayers to file the GST F7 (for disclosing errors on returns filed previously) and GST F8 (for the final filing of GST). The new APIs will also cater for changes in the respective returns to account for GST on imported services.
The following is a list of accounting/tax software that currently supports the filing of both GST returns as well as Transaction Listings via API.
