Tax change proposed by the Government of the Azores and approved by the regional assembly reduces the current normal rate, which is 18%.
The normal VAT rate in the Azores will go from 18% to 16% as of the 1st of July, as had been approved in the Region’s Plan and Budget for 2021, announced today the Regional Government.
Thus, from 1 July, VAT in the Azores will be 4%, 9% and 16%, equivalent to the reduced, intermediate and normal rates, respectively.
