He stated that if an EU body purchases or imports goods and services in the Netherlands, this could result in a loss of VAT revenue for the Dutch government on supplies to (institutions in) other countries. According to the State Secretary, it is impossible to make an estimate of the possible loss in advance. The proposed electronic procedure for the issue of an exemption certificate also requires extra attention.
