Since October 2020, the Belgian customs and the tax investigation service, the BBI, have been tracking serious VAT fraud by Asian online stores. The online stores are suspected of sending consumer goods to Europe with fraudulent customs declarations. It would concern thirty tons of goods that are blocked at Zaventem airport.
