Last year we informed you about the decision of the Supreme Court in the case on the VAT consequences of the exploitation of cemeteries by municipalities. The Supreme Court ruled that municipalities act as a VAT entrepreneur and not as a government. The case was referred back to the Amsterdam Court of Appeal to investigate whether a municipality is still partly entitled to compensation for VAT when operating a cemetery. The Court has recently ruled. In this news item we inform you about the consequences of this ruling.
