The Swiss Federal Tax Administration (SFTA) on 7 May 2021 published further amended guidelines regarding the VAT treatment of various forms of financial assistance received by businesses to support them throughout the COVID-19 pandemic and the implications for the recipients’ right to deduct input tax.
